Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Remastered PC

Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Remastered is a remastered version of the second installment in the iconic action adventure game series, Little Big Adventure 2 (known as Twinsen's Odyssey in the United States). Just like the remaster of the first game in the series, this game was also developed by an independent studio 2.21.

Plot

Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Remastered is set shortly after the first game. Twinsen is now hailed as a hero (even received a museum in his honor!), but ultimately peace does not last long. The planet of Twinsun falls victim to a powerful storm, during which the protagonist's friend, Dino-fly, is struck by lightning. While searching for a cure, Twinsen gets tangled up in an even greater intrigue and faces an even greater threat, this time coming from outer space.

Mechanics

At first glance, the gameplay of Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Remastered doesn't differ much from its predecessor. The player must traverse various locations, talk to NPCs, complete quests and solve puzzles. In addition to main quests there are also numerous side missions to complete. We'll occasionally have to face arcade challenges and fight enemies (or sneak behind them and run for our lives). The remastered version also expands Twinsen's moveset, introducing instant weapon switching and dodging.

The sequel, however, is of a much larger scale than the first game. Rather than be limited to islands on a singular planet, Twinsen will explore many locations on three different planets. Just like in his first adventure, he can return to previously visited areas whenever the player wants to. This time though he can also traverse the locations by controlling vehicles. The isometric view also only applies indoors; outdoors the camera shifts to the third-person perspective (TPP).

Technical aspects

Just like the remastered version of the first game, Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Remastered received a massive audiovisual overhaul; the game still uses the same cartoonish artstyle as its predecessor.
