Figment: Creed Valley is the second part of a series of surreal action adventures, developed by Bedtime Digital Games studio. In the game, we try to restore balance in the chaos of the mind - a world that is a projection of the subconscious of a 40-year-old man.
Figment: Creed Valley is the second installment of a series of action adventure games launched in 2017. The game was developed by the creators of the original, the independent team at Bedtime Digital Games, whose portfolio includes genre-related Back to Bed.
Plot
Figment: Creed Valley takes place after the events presented in the previous game from the series. During the game, we play the creature named Dusty, known from the original, accompanied by an optimistic friend - Piper. Although the protagonists have managed to restore peace to The Mind (a world that is a projection of the subconscious of a forty-year-old man, where his fears and weaknesses take on the form of monsters), they still have their hands full. This time, the protagonists have to go to the Creed Valley, where beliefs and ideals are formed. The place is the residence of the Jester, who destroyed the Moral Compass and started a civil war, threatening the whole Mind.
Mechanics
Figment: Creed Valley's action is shown in isometric view. The game's highly original locations, filled with sounds, music and numerous objects reminiscent of various instruments, are waiting to be visited. As we traverse them, we avoid traps and obstacles and solve creative puzzles. In addition, we face enemies (including new ones), whom Dusty fights with a wooden sword. Battles are dynamic and success is ensured by dodging enemy attacks and finding the weak points of our enemies. In the game world we can also find memories that enable us to better understand the problems of the mind.
It should be remembered that The Mind's appearance depends on its current state (it can be "open" or "closed"); we influence it, among other things, through discussions with beings living in the valley.
Technical aspects
Just like the first installment of the series, Figures: Creed Valley features colorful graphics, adopting a characteristic, surrealistic style. The unique atmosphere of the game is enhanced by a rich, catchy soundtrack.
