Total War: Warhammer II - Curse of the Vampire Coast

Total War: Warhammer II - Curse of the Vampire Coast is another expansion for the strategy game, released in September 2017, set in the Warhammer universe and being a continuation of the game from 2015. The Creative Assembly studio, consistently developing the Total War brand, is responsible for developing this title.

Mechanics

Total War: Warhammer II - Curse of the Vampire Coast does not offer players a new campaign. Instead, it adds a new faction of undead pirates, characterized by a different gameplay mechanics. The expansion allows us to play both available scenarios: the one connected with the Great Vortex, as well as the one added after the release of the Dead Empires - a big campaign, which connects the areas known from both parts of Total War: Warhammer.

The new army has a number of characteristic mechanics: developing your ships, building your pirate reputation, creating pirate bays, as well as searching for treasures which ca neb found by following maps. Despite its theme, the expansion does not introduce sea battles to the game.

We can start the game by leading one of the four legendary lords (including the main leader, Arch-Grand Commodore Luthor Harkon). Their armies consist of many interesting units such as mermaids, wraiths, sea monsters and undead - including zombies equipped with firearms. The expansion also introduces a few more famous regiments.

Game modes

In Total War: Warhammer II - Curse of the Vampire Coast we can play alone or with other players. The number of available modes is exactly the same as in the basic version Total War: Warhammer II.

Technical aspects

Total War: Warhammer II - Curse of the Vampire Coast requires the basic version of the game to work. The DLC does not make any changes to the graphics design.
