Warhammer: Mark of Chaos Description
Warhammer: Mark of Chaos for PC is a real-time tactics game, fully based on the Warhammer universe created by Games Workshop. In this production, published by Namco, you witness the war between the armies of Men, Chaos, High Elves, and the Skaven (rat-people), ready to fight for world domination.
Plot
Even though it has been a year since the Great War—when the vicious Hordes of Chaos ravaged the whole Empire—there are places in of the Old World that are still haunted by the sound of steel clashing and moans of the dying. Some of the invaders retreated to the north, while others split into smaller groups. The new Champions tried to reunite the tribes, but none succeeded, since there was nobody as powerful as the fallen commander of the Hordes, Asavar Kul.
The Empire and the High Elves tried to eradicate the evil lurking in the farthest corners of the Old World. Not just scattered groups of enemies, but small and well-organised warrior parties were attacking the settlements of Men, located near the border. The war wasn't coming to an end—quite the opposite, the time of unrelenting destruction was only about to begin.
Mechanics
Warhammer: Mark on Chaos focuses on combat, leaving out economical aspects (such as developing your base and gathering resources) completely. Instead, it gives you complete freedom when it comes to deciding on the make-up of your armies, choosing their members from various races (e.g. orcs, goblins, vampires or dwarves). You can also customize their appearance, loadout, and behaviour during battle.
The game features a singleplayer campaign, telling the story of the invasion of the Hordes of Chaos (shown from four different points of view), and several multiplayer modes, for both inexperienced and seasoned players.
