Total Tank Generals is a strategy game set during World War II. The gameplay consists of turn-based battles on maps composed of hexagonal tiles. Though the player mostly uses armored vehicles, they can also call in air support for many different purposes.

Total Tank Generals is a turn-based strategy game. It was developed by a Polish studio Noobz From Poland, known for Total Tank Simulator.

Mechanics

The game consists of battles between armored vehicles during World War II. Each encounter is turn-based, taking place on maps composed of a grid of hexagons.

Before battle we must first compose our army by choosing from dozens of different available units. Combat is mechanically accessible, but the developers have still faithfully recreated WWII's armies, giving each unit unique strengths and weaknesses.

Proper use of terrain plays a big part during battle. The player must also carefully manage ammunition and other resources. We also have access to air support, which we can order to handle recon, make parachute drops or call in air strikes.

Game modes

The game is only playable in singleplayer. It consists of several military campaigns recreating the achievements of WWII's most famous generals, such as Patton, Zhukov and Rommel.
