Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands - Fallen Ghosts Description
Fallen Ghosts is the second large DLC for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands (note: the base game is required in order to play the Fallen Ghosts add-on). This expansion has been released firstly for the Season Pass owners (30 May 2017), and later for the other players (6 June 2017).
Plot
The PC, XONE and PS4 release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands – Fallen Ghosts continues the story from the base game. Even though the Santa Blanca cartel has been busted, the Unidad de Operaciones Especiales are still unable to establish peace in Bolivia. What is causing all this trouble is the Los Extranjeros organization, members of which will not stop until every U.S. citizen remaining in Bolivia is killed. The Ghost team is sent to the warzone, but their chopper is shot down and they have to crash-land in the middle of a jungle filled with enemies.
Mechanics
The gameplay featured by Fallen Ghosts has not been changed significantly, however it is even more focused on cooperation aspect. All because of the chopper crash – which left our soldiers with limited equipment. Apart from all that, Fallen Ghosts is still a TPP open-world shooter, which gives players considerable freedom as to how complete particular assignments.
This expansion offers three new regions of Bolivia, and a new story campaign divided into 15 separate missions, where the main objective is to eliminate four crime lords. During the game, players have to face new opponents representing the Los Extranjeros organization – mercenaries equipped with heavy bulletproof plates, elite snipers with motion detectors, jammers that can interfere with electronic equipment, and the stealthy covert ops equipped with prototype cloaking devices and armed with powerful crossbows.
The Fallen Ghosts expansion also features new skills, including the Oxygen (which allows our Ghosts to stay under water for longer), Reaction Marking (sharpens their senses), First Reload (increases the reload speed), and Flash Drone (which turns our drone into a flashbang). Moreover, players can now get their hands on six new weapons, including a crossbow, sniper rifles and assault rifles.
Noteworthy is the fact that in the PC, XONE and PS4 release of the Fallen Ghosts DLC we get to control new level 30 Ghost operatives, with the level cap being raised to 35.
