Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder Description
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder is the second expansion for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. It takes the players to Cuba in the year of 2009. When Fidel Castro, a long-time dictator, dies, the old order died with him, and various self-proclaimed leaders and other rebels are trying to seize power. The player, along with the elite Ghosts unit, is part of a United Nations mission which aims at restoring order and initiating the first free elections. There are eight missions to beat in the single player campaign, while multiplayer mode offers five new maps and two new game modes. The rich arsenal of the original game was enlarged with 12 new weapons, including M4 SOCOM rifle and MM-1 automatic grenade launcher. Since the theater of operations changed, we will also use new kinds of vehicles, both Cuban and UN’s.
