Plot

Tokyo Babel takes us on a journey to the universe with elements taken from Christian beliefs and Sumerian mythology, among others. The gates of paradise have been closed, hell has been consumed by a great flood, and numerous other worlds are dying out one by one. Angels, demons and survivors gather in the title city, which serves as a purgatory and is their only chance for salvation. To reach the gates of heaven, the survivors must make the long journey through the seven floors of Babel. However, their efforts may be in vain, as they are threatened by a group of mad pilgrims who try to take over the metropolis and bring chaos to it.
