A mobile role-playing action game based on the popular comic book series by Robert Kirkman, utilizing the free-to-play model with microtransactions. The Walking Dead: Road to survival allows you to lead a group of survivors, (which the fans of this universe should be familiar with) who find shelter in the town of Woodbury. It turns out that the leader of this almost idyllic place is the psychopathic Governor, whom you need to fight.

The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is a mobile RPG developed by Phase One Games. It uses the free-to-play business model with optional microtransactions.

The campaign is based more on the comic than the TV series. The story begins when the group of survivors under our leadership finds a new home in the town of Woodbury. At first, it seems almost like a paradise, but after a short while it becomes clear that it hides many secrets, and its Governor is nothing short of a sadistic psychopath. At the beginning, we are shown a glimpse of the future and a final confrontation with the Governor, therefore we know how the story ends - our task is to prepare for this event. The Walking Dead: Road to Survival puts a large emphasis on storytelling and regularly forces us to make hard moral decisions that strongly influence further plot development.

The main storyline focuses on managing a group of survivors. We have to ensure their survival, develop their skills, and equip them as best as we can. The group can go on missions and fight enemies in a turn-based combat system. We may lead up to five people. Both the characters known from the comic and some completely new ones can be recruited to our team.

At the same time, the game features an addition strategy aspect, which requires us to gather resources to develop our base. We need to set up some residential buildings, medical centres, and workshops. These structures will promptly allow us to acquire additional items and gain new development paths, as well as increase the security of our team. Furthermore, we can also raid other players’ towns via a simple multiplayer mode.
