The Sims: Project Rene is a new installment in a popular life simulator series by EA Maxis and Electronic Arts. The game heavily expands its build mode, re-introducing color palettes. It also places emphasis on online elements.
The Sims: Project Rene Description
Project Rene is the next installment in the extremely popular free-to-play life simulator series The Sims, created by Electronic Arts. There are changes in gameplay mechanics compared to The Sims 4 and the game places an emphasis on online elements, making it easier for players to share their projects with others. It was developed by the authors of the previous parts - the EA Maxis team.
Build Mode
Project Rene brings many significant changes to Build Mode over The Sims 4. The game offers a revamped color palette from The Sims 3, which allows us to freely change the color scheme of objects, as well as offers the ability to modify their details (like adjusting the bed frame).
Is Project Rene The Sims 5?
When Project Rene was announced in 2022, it was treated as The Sims 5, only functioning temporarily under a codename. However, in the following years it became clear that it was not a full-fledged sequel of The Sims 4 , but a separate game that is to be developed in parallel to the fourth mainline entry.

The Sims Series
The Sims is a series of games created by Maxis studio and published by Electronics Arts since 2000. The games in the series can be described as life simulators, in which, directing the avatars we create, we act out scenes from everyday life, but also build them houses, which they can then furnish according to their own vision. The series has sold more than 200 million copies, making it one of the world's best-selling games, and has twice made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
