The Fifth Element, published by Activision, is a TPP action game similar to the Tomb Raider series. The title is based on a movie under the same title from 1997.

Story

A former special forces soldier currently working as a taxi driver, Korben Dallas, accidentally meets a young woman, Leeloo, created in a laboratory. He does not know that she comes from a race of powerful beings from space, who have been caring for the Earth for thousands of years. The unusual duo has to face the cunning entrepreneur Zorg and his hired Mangalors who are trying to take possession of an ancient weapon, acting on behalf of evil powers.

Mechanics

The Fifth Element is a TPP action game, in which the players undertake a dozen or so story missions. The devs give us two playable characters, Korben and Leeloo, assigning them to specific levels. Heroes differ primarily in the way they perform hand-to-hand combat - the former soldier acts more forcefully, and his companion relys on her speed and agility. On each of the maps, there are many opponents to defeat, as well as some simple logic puzzles.

Technical aspects

The title developed by Kalisto Entertainment is based on the engine previously designed for Nightmare Creatures. The game features simple 3D visuals, in which the models of the main characters stand out. Between individual game levels, scenes from the movie hit directed by Luc Besson are presented.
