The Chronicles of Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream Description
The Chronicles of Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream is the second installment of a series of casual adventures started in 2011 with The Chronicles of Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet. Developers from the Daedalic Entertainment studio have decided to introduce players to another masterpiece by William Shakespeare - the comedy Midsummer Night's Dream.
The plot of the game coincides with the main themes of art, and most of the dialogues have been copied and skillfully woven into interludes. The player has the opportunity to get to know the love adventures of three pairs: Herewith and her fiancé Lizander, Demetrius and Helena in love with him, as well as the king of the elves Oberon and his disobedient wife Titania.
The gameplay is based on solutions well known to HOG (Hidden Object Games) enthusiasts. The basis of the game are puzzles such as "hidden objects", in which the player has to show perceptiveness, looking for objects cleverly camouflaged in the pictures. A variety of puzzles in the form of uncomplicated mini-logical games.
The in-game control system uses the traditional point'n'click interface for adventures, which should not cause problems even for inexperienced players. During the game, you can also use a number of hints, which make it easier to deal with puzzles.
Compared to Romeo & Juliet, The Chronicles of Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream has not changed much. Developers from Daedalic Entertainment have once again used two-dimensional graphics with hand-drawn backgrounds and simple animations. The whole aesthetic experience is complemented by the soundtrack, which blends well with the fantastic and merry atmosphere of the game.
