Count Monte Christo is an adventure game of the kind of "hidden objects", produced by FindHiddenObjects.com development studio. The plot is based on the famous novel by Alexander Dumas. The player takes on the role of Edmond Dantes, who, as the title count of Monte Christo, returns to his homeland to take revenge for betrayal and unjust imprisonment.

Count Monte Christo is an attempt to adapt a classic novel coat and swords for a computer game addressed to lovers of puzzles of the kind of "hidden objects". Production is the debut work of FindHiddenObjects.com (later Lazy Turtle Games).

The plot of the game refers to the events presented on the pages of Alexander Dumas' book. The main character, Edmond Dantes, a 19th-century sailor falls victim to a conspiracy, as a result of which he is sentenced to long-term imprisonment. In the dungeons of the d'If castle, however, he meets Father Faria, who in return for his help in digging the tunnel leading to freedom, shares his knowledge of the world and reveals the place where the great treasure is hidden. Thanks to this, after fleeing, Dantes becomes an extremely wealthy person and by taking on the identity of Count Monte Christo, he can realize a plan of revenge on his opponents.
