Plot

The action of the game takes place in 1787. The French monarchy is experiencing its last years of peace. In Vienna, Mozart finishes his work on a new opera. Meanwhile, far to the north, a powerful eruption of one of Iceland's volcanoes is changing the face of Europe... Can there be any link between these seemingly unrelated events? Trying to solve the mystery of a mysterious murder, the famous opera singer Josepha Duschek discovers a conspiracy threatening the Queen of France, Maria Antoinette, behind which stands an organization called the Loki Order.

Mechanics

The player must help the main character in the investigation conducted in Paris, Philadelphia, Vienna and Prague where we can meet with such historical figures as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Countess Joanna de Valois or Benjamin Franklin. The game is a typical mix of "hidden objects" puzzles and puzzles in the form of simple mini-games, typical for HOPA adventures. Unlike many similar games, the difficulty level of some tasks can be a challenge even for experienced players.

Technical aspects

The graphics in Marie Antoinette and the Disciples of Loki are maintained in the cartoon style typical of Nemopolis games. The 2D graphics are based on hand-drawn backgrounds and simple animations. Noteworthy is the background music composed of popular classical music pieces as well as an interactive encyclopedia, containing a lot of interesting information about the characters and events related to the eighteenth century.
