This title will allow you to play the role of Captain of America and Spider Man. The first one is sent with a mission to defeat and capture the insane doctor, the second has to neutralize the launch system of the rocket, which can turn New York into a perch.
Dr. Doom's Revenge! is presented in the form of an interactive comic book. Looking at the next pictures we go to special arcade sections, in which most often we have to defeat one of the guards of the fortress. Among the latter there are robots as well as other villains of Universum Marvel, such as Boomerang, Oddball, Hobgoblin or Batroc.
All arcade sections resemble two-dimensional battles (e.g. Mortal Kombat), which were extremely popular in the 1990s. Both you and your opponent have a certain amount of energy, which is depleted by subsequent hits. It's all about defeating a rival before he does the same with us. The program offers a rich suit of blows, among which the first violin plays the special attributes of both heroes: the indestructible shield of the Captain of America and the Spider Man network.
Visually, Paragon's product is at an average level. Both the comics and the arcade sections reviewed from time to time suffer from a lack of detail and more colours. The game is not easy, as our players react to blows with a slight delay. In fact, The Amazing Spider-Man and Captain America in Dr. Doom's Revenge! is worthy of attention mainly because of the packaging's detailed characteristics of all characters in the game.
