Release Date: September 13, 2014
Action, crossover, splitscreen, Nintendo exclusive, multiplayer, singleplayer, internet, LAN
Another entry in the fighting game series that began in 1999 and is an exclusive franchise of Nintendo’s consoles. The most characteristic feature of Super Smash Bros. is the appearance of characters known from other top-selling series of the Japanese developer. It isn’t different this time, with over 50 characters available, known from such franchises as Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, or Legend of Zelda.

Super Smash Bros. Description
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and WiiU is a continuation to one of the most popular game series available for Nintendo’s consoles, which launched in 1999 on Nintendo 64 (Super Smash Brothers), with the following titles appearing on GameCube (Melee) and Wii (Brawl). New part of the franchise reuses the main features of its predecessors.
Gameplay
The gameplay focuses on dueling on specially prepared multi-level arenas. It is not only about pummeling your opponents, as in traditional fighting games, as sometimes the stages can change beyond recognition, and the gameplay begins to resemble a typical platformer.
In accordance with the series' long-standing tradition, a whole new bunch of characters has appeared in Super Smash Bros. Facing off against each other will be characters like Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Samus, Link, Mario as well as some completely new fighters, coming from Animal Crossing (another Nintendo series) or Capcom’s Mega Man. Each of them has been given a unique set of attacks and special moves.
Technology
Visuals of the 3DS and WiiU version look a little different from its stationary iteration, mainly due to the addition of cel shading. Thanks to that, the visuals are more cartoonish, which is hardly inappropriate for the light atmosphere of this game.
