A sports game that allows the player to beat a variety of tracks using a skateboard. During the game it is important to go through the routes quickly, as well as perform spectacular acrobatics and tricks. As the game progresses, the player-controlled character gains experience points, which can be exchanged for improved statistics such as speed or effectiveness in performing tricks.

Street Skater is a sports game released on PS1. In North America, the game was released as Street Sk8er while in Japan it is known as Street Boarders and The Skateboard. The game focuses on riding on a skateboard and performing spectacular tricks.. Street Skater was produced by Atelier Double.

Mechanics

The game is based on rules similar to those of snowboard games, such as Cool Boarders. The player's task is to copmplete tracks quickly. The levels are filled with various obstacles, ramps and handrails, making it easier to perform spectacular acrobatics.
