Stellaris: Astral Planes is an expansion to Stellaris, a 2016 space real-time strategy game. Like the base game, it was developed by Paradox Development Studio.
Plot
Stellaris: Astral Planes introduces rifts in time and space, granting players access to brand new planes of reality. The expansion's main plotline, Riftworld Origin, has us learn the truth of the universe's past. Over time, the storyline branches out and it's up to us which path we follow.
Mechanics
The most significant new mechanic in Stellaris: Astral Planes are rifts in space-time leading to new Universes. These new planes are home to unique areas with their own laws and properties, unique phenomena, creatures and secrets. The expansion also introduces new techs, actions and artifacts which let us manipulate space, and a special interface used to navigate through the story.

Stellaris: Astral Planes supports singleplayer and online multiplayer.
