A licensed two-dimensional platformer for mobile devices, created by Ubisoft. When Gargamel casts a spell that covers the Smurfs' village with a magical fog, only one of its inhabitants manages to escape. Controlled by the player, he has to stop Gargamel and rescue his captured friends.
Smurfs Epic Run for AND and iOS is a licensed two-dimensional platformer. The game was developed by Ubisoft. It is free-to-play, but it has a system of microtransactions.
Story
In Smurfs Epic Run for AND and iOS, the story opens as Gargamel casts a spell that traps the inhabitants of the Smurfs' village. We play as the sole escapee whose task is of course, to free the friends and stop the evil sorcerer.
Gameplay
Smurfs Epic Run for AND and iOS is an auto runner platformer, which means the character we control is going forward automatically. The player makes different gestures in different situations, in order to perform a jump, a tackle or to sprint. Levels are not infinite here - each of them is well-designed, having their starting and ending points. There are a hundred levels in total, and these offer a revisit to the well-known locations from TV screens, such as the village of the Smurfs, the forest, the mine or Gargamel's castle.
In Smurfs Epic Run for AND and iOS, the player releases subsequent Smurfs from captivity, which gives access to a lot of special powers. At first, the Smurf the player controls does not stand out with anything, but later on, many playable characters can be unlocked, including Papa Smurf and Smurfette.
The characters can be customized, for their appearances can be changed. There are different clothes they can wear, bringing them bonuses that help to make a progress. Additionally, the game allows to compete against other players in time trials via the online rankings.
