Vector 2 Description
Vector 2, released on AND and iOS, is an auto-runner platformer. It was developed by Nekki studio, the same team that worked on the first part of the series.
Plot
Vector 2 is a direct continuation of the original. The game is set in a gloomy vision of a future in which Big Brother controls people's every step. The main character is a rebel, who in the first part decided to regain freedom and decided to escape. He was quickly followed by law enforcement and after a long chase, they managed to catch him. Instead of executing the man, the authorities decided to use his unusual skills. He was transported to a secret research center and used as an object for testing new deadly equipment. Of course, he will also try to find an opportunity to escape.
Mechanics
The game is a typical auto-runner in which we have to overcome a series of levels filled with obstacles and traps. The character automatically rushes forward, and our task is to give commands by using gestures to jump or slide. To avoid death, we use our parkour skills to perform impressive acrobatics. This mechanic is much more complex than the standard platform mechanics because it requires manual execution of various moves and tricks.
Vector 2 has many new elements. First of all, the authors decided to add roguelike elements. As a result, all maps have a certain beginning and end but they are generated procedurally, and each death is permanent. The game also offers new locations, types of obstacles and traps, as well as a large set of additional helpful unlockable gadgets.
