Slingshot Racing is a racing game based on an unusual idea. We control quite inert cars and in order to pass bends we have to use a cannon firing the line with a hook and appropriate targeting enables us to make a spectacular slider.

Mechanics
Slingshot Racing allows you to take part in steampunk races where cars are sliding along sharp turns. The vehicles don't have engines and are largely inert. That's why we use a cannon that shoots a line with a hook that attaches itself to strategically located piles. The whole game consists in choosing the right moment of shooting and releasing the line - a fraction of a second has a great influence on the outcome of the competition.
Game modes
Slingshot Racing offers an extensive career mode in which we have to win a total of eighty races - many of them have additional tasks to complete. We can also compete on our own against Artificial Intelligence or try our hand at a mode where we have to collect of a certain amount of objects scattered on the track before the time runs out.
We can also compete with other users. This is done in two ways. The first one is an attempt to beat someone else's records taken from constantly updated online rankings. The second option is a traditional multiplayer with up to four players racing on one map. This mode isn't online only. Thanks to the simple controls, it possible to have several people playing on one device, where each participant of the game receives their own button.
Technical aspects
Slingshot Racing has a very attractive graphic design. The backgrounds are made in full 2D with 3D light and shadow effects.
