DrawRace 2: Racing Evolved iOS

DrawRace 2: Racing Evolved is a continuation of the unusual, mobile racing game from 2009, in which instead of directly controlling the racing vehicles, the role of players is limited to outlining the optimal course before the start of the race. Developers from RedLynx studio, known mainly for its arcade Trials series, are again responsible for the creation of the game. Just like the original, only owners of mobile devices with iOS received the title.

The originality of the DrawRace series lies in the fact that we do not participate directly in races while having fun. Instead, our goal is to draw the optimal track with a finger on the screen, where the speed of the line has an impact on the final vehicle speed. During the race we play only the role of observers, and the only way to influence the course of the race is to use an afterburner. The complexity of the tracks increases with the progress of the game. In the first stages, it is usually enough for us to be able to reproduce the shape of the track in an efficient and relatively fast manner. Over time, however, without braking and a suitable technique for cornering, we can forget to achieve a good result.

The game offers 180 different racing challenges taking place on 30 tracks covered with gravel, asphalt or ice. On each of these surfaces, the cars behave a bit differently, all the more so because we have different types of vehicles at our disposal - from rally cars to Formula 1 cars, and more models are unlocked for the medals gained in races. Apart from the career mode designed for independent fun, the creators also envisaged the option of hot-seat competition (on one tablet) and two network modes: Friend Challenge and Word League.
