A port of an arcade racing game previously released on arcade machines and Nintendo 64. The title is based on the solutions perfectly known from titles found in game centers, betting on unrestricted, dynamic fun and encouraging people to improve their skills and results.

Mechanics

The players will be able to use eight cars and four routes filled with shortcuts and branches in such characteristic landmarks of San Francisco as Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts or the Twin Peaks hills. The competition is extremely arcade in character and focuses on dynamics, enabling the players to take turns in controlled slides, make crazy jumps up to several dozen meters or speed up to several hundred kilometers per hour on straights.

Game modes

The fun is diversified by special modules. In addition to the traditional options to compete against a time limit and other cars, the devs have also enabled us to take part in a series of competitions in which individual drivers score points for the general classification or play the Death Race mode, which is clearly inspired by the film Speed. The task of the players is to keep a minimum speed of sixty kilometers per hour. If they slow down too much, the car will explode. Individual modes are available for both solo players and two people who can compete on split-screen.

Technical aspects

San Francisco Rush is a specific port. The devs threw out some of the content from other installments of the game and added some unique elements. The players cannot check many of the routes added later to the game. Climax has also partially changed the game engine, modifying the sensitivity with which cars react to the player commands and physics.
