Continuation of a racing game released in 1995, set in the realities of science fiction. This time we sit at the helm of even more powerful cars, competing on completely new routes and using an extended arsenal of power-ups and weapons. The whole is characterized by a significantly better graphic design, thanks to the use of modern 3D cards.

WipEout 2097 (in the USA also known as WipEout XL) is a continuation of a futuristic racing game, which was originally released in 1995 and gained popularity thanks to a faithful sense of speed and a fairly high level of fun difficulty. The game was created again by the British studio Psygnosis, and the title went to PC, PlayStation and SEGA Saturn, although it was also converted to Amiga and Mac computers.

The action of the game takes place in the title year 2097, i.e. more than 40 years after the events presented in the first part of the series. Since then, one of the most popular sports of the future has evolved strongly, and the original F3600 league was replaced by the much more difficult and dangerous F5000 AG. The cars themselves, which are characterized by higher speed, acceleration, maneuverability and durability, have also changed.
