A Japanese FPP action RPG developed for VR sets. In Ruinsmagus we play as a young adept of magic, and our task is to traverse the dark underworld, face the enemies lurking around us and explore the secrets they guard.
Ruinsmagus is an action jRPG developed for virtual reality sets. It was developed by Character Bank studio and published by Mastiff.
Plot
Ruinsmagus takes us on a journey to a fantastic universe, to be precise - to the city of Grand Amnis. We take on the role of a fresh member of the guild, which unites adepts of magic. Already at the beginning a difficult task rests on our shoulders, because we have to explore the ruins spreading under the city full of artifacts that provide its inhabitants with wealth and peace. What complicates matters is the fact that the underground is full of guards who closely guard its secrets.
Game mechanics
In Ruinsmagus we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The game is driven by 25 missions, during which we explore the dark underground and solve puzzles, as well as fight dynamic battles.
We cast various spells with one hand, while the second one is used to shield us from enemy attacks. In addition, we can support ourselves with grenades and healing potions. Apart from that the game allows us to use teleportation, so we can efficiently avoid enemy blows. As we progress, we unlock new spells and get better armor, spell-casting gloves and shields, so we can face more challenges.
Between escapades we find ourselves in the city, which we can freely explore, visiting stores (where we stock up on new equipment and improvements to the equipment we already have) and cafes, as well as getting to know its inhabitants.
