Rocket Racing Description
Rocket Racing is an additional mode for Fortnite, co-developed by Psyonix and its parent company, Epic Games. It lets players compete in fast-paced races on various tracks.
Mechanics
Rocket Racing revolves around fast-paced racing on crazy tracks full of platforms, pits and obstacles. Tracks are divided into groups based on their difficulty. To finish first, we must drift on corners, avoid traps and make use of our car's unique capabilities. Cars are equipped not only with turbo and boosters (charged by drifting) but also jet engines (letting us soar over chasms and through the air). They also stick to walls and ceilings, letting us bypass large obstacles. The driving is highly arcadey and emphasizes spectacle.
There are many diverse vehicles available in the game. These include entirely fictional machines and licensed cars, such as the Lamborghini Huracán STO. Aside from cars unlocked as we progress through the game, we can also import cars from Rocket League, Psyonix's previous game. Cars can also be customized with different wheels and paint patterns.
Game modes
Rocket Racing features singleplayer and multiplayer. Multiplayer supports private sessions, public races and ranked races.
Technical aspects
Rocket Racing runs on the Unreal Engine, making great use of it. The game retains the colorful, cartoonish artstyle of Rocket League.
