developer: Team6 Game Studios / Rebel Games publisher: GameMill Entertainment
NASCAR Arcade Rush is a racing game officially licensed by the titular racing association - very popular in the US - though it's not a simulator, like the series by Motorsport Games. Instead, it is a more casual, arcade approach. It was developed by Team6 Game Studios and published by GameMill Entertainment.
Gameplay
NASCAR Arcade Rush mostly revolves around stock car racing. It features cars from various pictures of the discipline's 75-year history and tracks such as Daytona, Homestead-Miami and Talladega.
The gameplay, however, features an arcade twist. For example, tracks - usually oval-shaped - now feature sharp turns, ramps, boosters and even portals. The game more resembles Mario Kart than traditional NASCAR simulators.
The game's arcade nature is supported by vehicle personalization, including different body paint, rims, spoilers and visual effects. The driver's outfit and helmet can also be customized.
Game modes
The most important mode is NASCAR Cup Series, though there are also modes such as quick race, time trials, multiplayer - the latter both local and online (for up to 12 players).
Technology
The visuals aren't very detailed - the game's cartoonish artstyle may attract the attention of younger players.
