Mechanics
Rise of Legions is an RTS where players collect cards and then use them to create decks to summon units to battlefields. The clashes take place in real time.
The game offers several different factions and each of them has its own unique warriors and specialization. The White Legion is a human army that uses healing and protective spells during battles. The Green Legion is also capable of regenerating the health of its units, as well as slowing down enemy movements with magical roots; they consists of intelligent plants that can evolve into more powerful species. The Black Legion, on the other hand, consists of monsters coming from the void, using freezing spells and able to tear the souls of enemies in order to evoke powerful passive skills.
Game modes
The game focuses on PvP battles. There are also PvE challenges, in the form of short clashes, where we have to overcome a boss controlled by artificial intelligence. The authors did not prepare a story campaign.
Technical aspects
Rise of Legions offers simple, but plasant three-dimensional visual, featuring colorful, slightly cartoonish style.
