Resident Evil: Revelations Description
Resident Evil: Revelations is a survival horror game for PC, PS4 and etc. and a spin-off installment of the well-known Resident Evil series. It was developed by the Japanese Capcom, the creators of the franchise. Initially, Revelations was exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS handheld console but in time was converted to other platforms in an enhanced edition.
Plot
The game takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. In Revelations, we are taken to the year 2005 to accompany Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani of the newly established BSAA in their search of Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawa. The duo ends up on Queen Zenobia, a ship where a T-Abyss epidemic broke out and turned people into monsters. The story campaign lets us assume the role of several characters and contains episodes that take place in different locations, for example, in an Italian port town.
Mechanics
While developing Resident Evil: Revelations, the developers tried to combine the atmosphere and style of the initial installments of the Resident Evil series with the enhancements of the fourth one. Instead of dynamic action sequences, we get a rather modest gameplay that involves exploration, looking for items, solving puzzles, and fighting opponents. Capcom also implemented some novelties—the biggest ones were introduced in controls that allow to run and shoot simultaneously. This increased the mobility of our enemies, as well.
Game modes
The so-called Raid Mode, which a set of special missions that can be played solo or in cooperation with another player, are an important addition to the story campaign of Resident Evil: Revelations for PC, PS4 and etc.. The mode introduces increasingly difficult challenges and encourages replaying tasks. The players can make their chances for survival bigger by gathering and enhancing equipment for the acquired funds.
Technical aspects
The conversion from 3DS to home platforms received numerous additions. Capcom increased the resolution to match the HD standard, improved the lighting system, and rebuild the character models. The aforementioned Raid Mode was enriched with a previously unknown monster, new weapons, and an additional playable character, Hunk. The developer also enhanced missions by changing the monster setup, among other things.

Resident Evil Series
Resident Evil is a series of Japanese survival horror films published by the Capcom studio. Shinji Mikami and Tokuro Fujiwara are mainly responsible for its creation. It had its beginning on March 22, 1996, with the release of the game Resident Evil (also known as Biohazard) for the PlayStation console. It was during its promotion that the term survival horror was coined. The prototype of the series is the game released in 1989 Sweet Home, based on the film of the same name. Fujiwara himself was responsible for it, and many elements, such as QTE sequences or inventory management, were transferred to the series. Biohazard. Since then, the series has grown steadily, gaining more game installments, as well as film, animated and comic book and book adaptations.
