Unexpectedly, both men are sucked into a mysterious portal and end up in ancient times. The whole event is witnessed by the son of a scientist, Callum "Rascal". The boy sets out to rescue his parent. During his journey he visits a medieval castle, the temple of the Aztecs and Atlantis, among others.
Mechanics
Rascal is a three-dimensional platformer in which players watch the action from behind the back of the characters, and their task is to collect a certain number of items. On each of the maps the devss have placed a number of arcade challenges, as well as enemies, which the title heros can deal with with using the bubble gun. What distinguishes the game from Travellers's Tales from the numerous competitors is the theme of time travel. Each of the worlds has been designed in several versions, past, present and future - differing not only in terms of visual style, but also layout.
Technical aspects
Rascal stands out in terms of graphics, including detailed character animations and spectacularly designed 3D scenes. The designs of the main character and some opponents were developed by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
