Developed by Sony Interactive, this action game combines the elements of a TPP shooter with and platform game. The production is kept in a humorous style, which contrasts with the high level of difficulty.

Story

The diabolic tyrant Bosco returns from the fifth dimension with the intention of conquering the entire Solar System. However, his goal is primarily the planet Uranus, which is inhabited by attractive Space Babes. He can only be stopped by the testosterone-brimming superhero, Blasto, who, as a connoisseur of female beauty, cannot allow any harm to the residents of Uranus.

Mechanics

Blasto presents events from behind the main character, who explores new regions of the space, confronting the army of aliens ruled by the tyrant Bosco and saving the women he meets. At each level, the players must perform a variety of tasks - kill a specific number of enemies or find items. The fun is enriched by logic challenges, jumping on platforms and shooting dozens of aliens, as well as levels where Blasto moves underwater or uses a jetpack.

The hero eliminates enemies he encounters with this proven blaster. The handy gun has two shooting modes - standard and charged, which is activated by holding down the action button. In addition, the hero can collect power-ups scattered on maps and thus gain access to other weapons such as homing rockets or flame throwers.

Technical aspects

Blasto is maintained in a humorous style, contains many jokes, subtexts and references to pop culture, which create a unique atmosphere of the world created by artists. The main character was voiced by Phil Hartman, who is known for his performances in Saturday Night Live or as a member of The Simpsons' dubbing cast in 1991-1998.
