The moral decline of the Kemo people was the result of an experiment carried out in 2043 by Omnicorp. First, a giant wall was built, which divided the city into five independent districts. Then a medicine called "Hydergine 344" was introduced into the drinking water supply, which was supposed to deprive the inhabitants of symptoms of aggression and thus reduce huge crime. Unfortunately, the effect was quite the opposite. As a result of the mutation with a previously unknown colony of bacteria, a new virus was created, which deprived the population of all inhibitions and caused a desire for total destruction. Kemo, a prison city, became a battle arena from which only unscrupulous people could emerge victoriously. Will Drake Edgewater, a local taxi driver, also be one of them? This is your worry....
Because of your profession, your main task is to transport people from place to place. For the execution of each order you have a strictly defined time, the closer to the target from the starting point, the less time it is. For each course you receive money, which is necessary to carry out repairs and equipping your vehicle with various means of extermination. It should be remembered that in Kemo there is total anarchy, there is no police, and in the street victorious is the one who holds a better arsenal in his hand, or rather on the roof. At this point we should pay tribute to the creators of the game, for the huge amount of various weapons, which should satisfy all tastes. After a few initial courses, you will be contacted by the local resistance movement, which will have much more sophisticated tasks for you. Most of them will involve the murder of gang members who are good friends of a corporation or its high-ranking officials, and sometimes also a bomb attack on one of the buildings. Execution of orders for rebels is important for the development of the action, because only thanks to them you will know the slogans that will open tunnels to you, leading to other districts of Kemo.
The action of the game is presented from the perspective of the first person, just like in Doom. Driving a taxi shouldn't be a problem for you. The only thing to keep in mind is to adapt your speed to the prevailing conditions - in tight streets, full of treacherous intersections, it's better not to be crazy. The level of difficulty is relatively high, especially in the later stages of the game, when a large number of vehicles armed to the teeth appear on the streets, and there is less and less time to complete the tasks. Visually, Quarantine doesn't impress, especially when driving too fast - then all the elements are blurred and it's really hard to say what's going on on the screen. An additional disadvantage is the great brutality, the number of people being torn apart - often completely unconsciously - simply beats all the records. However, despite these drawbacks, Quarantine may appeal to you. An interesting scenario, action dynamics and even this gloomy graphics can attract like a magnet, and then they don't let you go until Drake escapes from Kemo.
