The action of Interstate '76 takes place in an alternative reality, where the Middle East's oil fields were devastated by the nuclear war. And those in Mexico and South America do not exist at all. It is 1976, the US Government is weakening, and the planet's inhabitants are feeling the effects of the oil crisis.
The Southwestern United States is the only place in the world where oil is located. These areas are harassed by groups of armed to the teeth of bandits from car gangs. In these realities we play the role of Groov Champion. One day we learn that our sister Jade was murdered. Now only one thing is circulating in our hero's mind - revenge!
The main task we get in the game is to find the murderer of our sister. It turns out to be Antionio Malachio's mafiozo, who plans to overthrow the government by blowing up the oil fields located in the United States.
The goal that was set for us will come to fulfill during 17 missions available in single-player mode. In order to make our actions more effective, the authors of Interstate made it possible to arm Groov's vehicles with a wide arsenal of military, and thus deadly, toys.
On the way to the desired revenge, we will sit behind the wheel of thirty car models, including trucks. Our trip will be accompanied by a variety of landscapes in the USA: canyons, deserts, highways, small towns and many other eye-catching sceneries.
During the development of the plot, our protagonist sets himself another goal, which is to stop the villains of Antionio Malachio from blowing up oil reserves.
Playing with Interstate '76 doesn't end with playing with a computer - we also have the possibility to play via the Internet or local network to test the skills gained there.
