Puzzle Quest 3

Puzzle Quest 3 is the third installment of the game series with RPG and match-3 elements, started in 2007. The game was developed by the creators of the original, the Infinity Plus Two studio (formerly known as Infinite Interactive), and was published by 505 Games. The project is distributed in a free-to-play model with micropayments.

Plot

Puzzle Quest 3 is a direct sequel to the first part of the series. The game takes us to the fantastic world of Etheria, which is facing a deadly threat. Players take on the role of heroes, whose actions will shape the fate of the entire land.

Mechanics

As in previous parts of the series, in Puzzle Quest 3 you travel through the world and complete various tasks, as well as fight numerous enemies. As we progress, we develop your character, which allows us to face more and more challenges. What makes this game stand out from most other RPGs is the combat mechanics, which is inspired by such games as Bejeweled. Skirmishes are based on the match-3 rules, so after encountering the enemy, we see a board covered with colourful crystals. Combining Combining at least three elements of the same colour, we perform various actions - from attacking the enemy, to healing the character or replenishing mana reserves. Of course, the more elements of the same colour we combine at once, the better the effect of our action will be.
