The Best Mobile Games You Can Play in 2023 - Editors' Choice

Yes, mobile games are still games, and as such they deserve a ranking. This market is growing steadily, and 2022 saw some interesting entries, some of which are simply good ports of full-fledged PC titles.

Table of Contents

The mobile gaming market is the biggest piece of the video game pie, mainly because of its accessibility. This doesn't mean all mobile games are good - just like in the case of Steam on PC, there is a sea of titles, and only some of them are worth considering. The world is changing - smartphones are getting more and more powerful, and thus the games designed for such devices look better and better and offer more complex gameplay.

In the list below, we present a few productions that, in our opinion, deserve special mention. There are also several ports of games known from stationary devices which manage to hold their ground with mobile versions. Be ready for strategies, shooters, logic games, card games, and more. Our picks are just good.

PuzzleQuest 3

  1. Release date: March 1
  2. Genre: puzzle, RPG

A return that no one expected, but was it necessary? Years ago, the first Puzzle Quest won the hearts of players, successfully combining the world and storyline typical of an RPG with the simple moving of diamonds on the board. Now the series is back in the mobile version, but with a twist - it's free, which of course has its consequences.

This title certainly makes a very good impression in terms of graphics. We received really nice 3D models - both of our character, companions, and the enemies we meet. The combat system has undergone slight changes, making it a bit more interesting. This time we have a few seconds time limit and in that window we can match as many groups of diamonds as we can. Microtransactions are a downside, but try out this title just for memories and story.

Zbigniew Woznicki

He began his adventure with journalism and writing on the Allegro website, where he published news related to games, technology, and social media. He soon appeared on Gamepressure and Filmomaniak, writing about news related to the film industry. Despite being a huge fan of various TV series, his heart belongs to games of all kinds. He isn't afraid of any genre, and the adventure with Tibia taught him that sky and music in games are completely unnecessary. Years ago, he shared his experiences, moderating the forum of mmorpg.org.pl. Loves to complain, but of course constructively and in moderation.
