An immersive sim with abstract graphics and first person perspective. Psycho Patrol R offers an open world of dystopian Pan-Europe. We play as a law enforcement officer, who is also an operator of the powerful V-Stalker mech. We may complete missions in different ways and the whole planet may suffer from the result of our choices.

Psycho Patrol R is an immersive sim realized in the form of an FPS. We play as a law enforcement officer equipped with a futuristic mech. The development of this game was handled by the independent studio Consumer Softproducts, which has the project Cruelty Squad in its portfolio.

Gameplay

In Psycho Patrol R we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The game gives us access to an open world, which we can freely explore, engaging in conversations with the characters we encounter and carrying out quests received from them. Individual missions can be completed in various ways and in any order, and how we approach a specific challenge depends primarily on our favorite playstyle.

Nonetheless, the main element here is the fighting opponents. The game provides us with the V-Stalker mech. Combined with a rich arsenal, which includes both short-range weapons and 120 mm caliber guns, it allows us to sow chaos in the ranks of enemies. As we progress, we can also adapt the machine to individual preferences.

Story

Psycho Patrol R takes us to the rundown country of Pan-Europe. We take on the role of an officer of the Federal European Police, whose task is to counteract psychopathological threats and neurodegeneration. There are high stakes involved. If we fail, the consequences of our actions will be felt by the entire planet standing on the brink of collapse.

Graphics

The graphic design of Psycho Patrol R is reminiscent of shooters from the second half of the 1990s. The game's art style, although abstract, has been somewhat toned down compared to Cruelty Squad (yet we still deal with aesthetics straight out of narcotic visions).
