The fourth installment of the series of Japanese RPGs, which are characterized by people endowed with extraordinary power and able to turn into dragons. The game is distinguished by its graphic design, which combines two-dimensional, hand-drawn sprites of characters with detailed three-dimensional backgrounds, as well as a unique turn-based combat system with several elements.

Japanese RPG strongly inspired by Nordic mythology, which was prepared by specialists in the genre, Tri-Ace studio. It tells the story of a fight that goes to Midgard to find the warriors needed by Odin. The title is distinguished by the fighting model developed especially for the game, as well as by the combination of 2D and 3D graphics.

Recognized as one of the most outstanding RPGs released on PlayStation, Vagrant Story abandons the assumptions typical of the Japanese genre. In terms of assumptions and presentation of the action, the title resembles a third-person action game.

The next installment of the Japanese Chrono JRPG series, in which the creators used the motif of a journey between dimensions to tell an original story. The production is distinguished by a deep combat system, a huge number of characters to be connected and an excellent audiovisual setting.

The seventh installment of the extremely popular series of Japanese RPG games created by Square Enix. The production became famous as one of the most cult parts of the cycle, offering a heart-gripping story and many solutions adopted later permanently into the genre. The title tells the story of Cloud Strife and a group of his friends fighting against the powerful Shinra corporation.

RPG 11 February 1999

Eighth installment of the popular series of Japanese RPG games. This time the protagonist is Squall Leonhart - a cadet of the military academy, involved in warfare with the neighbouring state of Galbadia. The fight is played in a turn-based system, and the game focuses primarily on an extensive feature layer.

RPG 13 June 2000

Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio, a role-playing game strongly inspired by the Final Fantasy series. The story focuses on a young man who embarks on a dangerous journey to rescue his kidnapped childhood friend. In the course of the adventure he discovers unusual powers, thanks to which he will be able to change the outcome of the ongoing war in the land. Production mechanisms do not differ significantly from other representatives of the genre.

The next installment of a series of role-playing games set in a medieval fantasy land. The action of the game takes place fifteen years after the events of its predecessor and once again tells the player to set out in search of a powerful, magical sword. The game consists mainly in exploring, fighting and acquiring new elements of equipment.

RPG 28 May 1999

Renewed version of Lunar: The Silver Star, a warm welcome jRPG released in 1992 on the Sega CD platform. The production tells the story of a young boy who sets out on a dangerous journey to become a new defender of the goddess and discover the secrets of the tragic events that took place fifteen years earlier. The improved edition offers numerous changes in mechanics and visuals, including additional intermittent sequences.

RPG 15 December 2000

Improved version of the game Lunar: Eternal Blue. Production is a racial jRPG, in which the gameplay consists mainly in performing fictional tasks, exploration and numerous fights. The action of the title takes place a thousand years after the events presented in Lunar: The Silver Star and tells the story of adventurers who face a powerful evil that threatens the whole world.

RPG 18 October 1999

Continuation of the Japanese RPG action, which largely breaks with the original, offering a new graphic style, better audio-visual setting and much less serious styling. The title, unlike many other species representatives, offers many logical challenges.
