Pokemon Scarlet is an RPG which is a part of one of the most popular series of this genre. The game was developed by Game Freak studio, the authors of the previous parts.
It debuted together with its twin Pokemon Violet. Both games have mostly the same content. However, each of them has several unique creatures, so getting all of them requires trading with people who have a different edition than ours. Both versions also offer different outfits for our character.
Game mechanics
The game develops ideas from previous installments of the series. Starting the adventure, we choose the gender of our character and then set out into the world to catch pokemons. We have to develop their abilities, and then put them to turn-based battles against other creatures of this kind.
At the beginning of the game we choose a starter Pokemon from three available. Among them are Sprigatito (grassy cat), Fuecoco (fire crocodile) and the duck-like Quaxly. Then we're off on an adventure. For the first time in the case of the main installments of the series, the authors decided to use an open world structure, which thanks to this offers much more freedom of exploration than before.
Player explores locations, completes tasks and fights with wild Pokémon, which after defeat can be caught and added to the collection. Battles against other trainers also play a key role. Thanks to skirmishes our charges accumulate experience points, which allow them to advance to the next level of development.
Game modes
The game offers both single player and multiplayer modes.
Technical aspects
Pokemon Scarlet features fully 3D graphics done in a colorful cartoon style.
The game supports Pokemon HOME service, with which we can import our creatures from other parts of the franchise.
