Starting last week, a brand-new collaboration between McDonalds and Pokémon brought packs of four Pokémon trading cards to every Happy Meal. There are fifteen cards in total, with seven having a special holographic background. If you’ve collected any over the past week, you might be wondering if these cards have any value.

Are the new 2025 McDonalds Happy Meal Pokémon cards worth anything

This new set of fifteen exclusive Pokémon cards contains a few you might expect to be worth something. Charizard is notorious for breaking sale records over the last few years. But unfortunately for any collectors out there, this Charizard is not going to be selling for thousands of dollars online. This is partly because in this set of fifteen, Charizard is not one of the seven with a holographic background. Anyone hoping to find resale value in this set might end up disappointed.

According to Dot Esports, who compiled data from TCGPlayer.com, the most anyone could sell a card from this set would be a little under six dollars. Of course, keep in mind that these cards have only been on the market for about one week. Prices could still fluctuate and change in the coming days and weeks until the promotion ends in late February. There’s also no telling how much the value will increase in the years to come. But for now, it’s hard to make an argument for selling them.

According to Dot Esports the two most valuable cards are Roaring Moon, which could sell for up to $5.70 and Dragonite, which could sell for up to $5.50. If you are lucky and managed to pull one of these cards as one of the four in your pack, you might be able to sell them to get your money back for the Happy Meal.

So, for now, it doesn’t seem like there is much reason to be buying Happy Meals in bulk and building up a collection of these promotional cards. But don’t let that stop you from collecting them or enjoying your chicken nuggets. You just won’t be turning a profit anytime soon.
