Formula 1 car races realized in an arcade convention by Synergistic Software. The player's task is to complete the route as quickly as possible and beat all the competitors.
The game can be played by two people (this is possible thanks to the screen divided into halves), in case of lack of interested parties we race against a computer opponent. The route includes both long straights and treacherous turns, so you need to skillfully control the speed of the car. The main obstacles to achieving a satisfactory result are tyre wear and fuel loss. Necessary repairs are made in the title box, which is at the same time the most attractive part of the program.
How quickly you manage to change tyres and refuel often determines the final result. Excessive wrinkles in the boxing can lead to the opponent moving away and it will no longer be possible to overtake him. Due to the fact that the Pythstop is operated manually by moving the cursor over the car elements we are interested in, a visit to it takes a really long time.
Pitstop II offers extremely simple graphics (similar to Pole Position) with rear view of the car. Both the number of colors and the degree of detail on the knees is not staggering, but it is difficult to expect graphic fireworks from a product from the mid-eighties. Despite the visual poverty, the game is very pleasant, especially if we invite a friend to the duel. The nerves associated with a prolonged visit to the box will increase the adrenaline level of each player.
