Onde is a unique game that escapes clear genre classification. We are talking about a title with a mix of arcade, rhythm and logic games elements. It was developed by independent studios Lance and 3-50 and published by Mixtvision.

Plot

In Onde we play as a luminous being who was born in the gloomy caves. It goes on a journey, during which life in its various forms blossoms around it.

Game mechanics

Onde is a side-scrolling action game. We take control over a luminous being which moves around the locations along with sound waves generated by various objects. The sounds spreading through the locations are presented as enlarging circles. Our task is to maneuver the creature in such a way that it attaches itself to the edges of the subsequent circles and in this way move forward. Sometimes we also have to "activate" an object that generates sounds, going around it.

While at first this is not too difficult, with time things start to get a little more complicated. There are obstacles to overcome and moving objects which generate sound waves. Nevertheless, the game has been prepared in such a way that it offers a chance to relax after a hard day.

Technical aspects

Onde features simple, yet colorful and clear graphics made in an eye-pleasing cartoon style. The game takes place to the accompaniment of a calm, electronic soundtrack.
