Flower Description
Flower for PS4, PS3 and etc. is a second title from an American studio thatgamecompany. The game has been released in 2009, as a fruit of the cooperation and an exclusiveness deal between the developer and Sony Computer Entertainment company. Flower, as well as Journey, or flOw have placed a bar high for other creators of original and unconventional games for PlayStation, winning a number of awards from critics, reviewers, and the players themselves. The port for a new console of the Japanese developer has been released 4 years after its predecessor premiere, becoming one of the first digital titles for PlayStation 4.
Gameplay
During the gameplay, the player has the ability to control gusts of wind, interacting with numerous elements of the environment, mostly the titular flowers. The game gives the player various challenges, depending on his progress, and zone in which he is currently. The tasks mostly focus on gathering petals from following flowers, which leads to a number of events (e.g. starting windmills). The whole gameplay has been divided into few stylistically different levels that are connected by simple introductory animations.
Technical aspects
Flower for PS4, PS3 and etc. puts a lot of emphasis on using the unique functions of PlayStation controller, which allows for many interesting moves. It should be noted that the controls were designed to satisfy both the beginners, and the hard-boiled gamers. The visuals of Flower were designed to take advantage of console hardware, really setting the bar pretty high for similar games. For example, the player can notice grass blades that realistically react to wind gusts, as well as changes in the environment resulting from its influence. A definite highlight of the game is a large freedom to explore your surroundings.
