Nuclear War Simulator Description
Nuclear War Simulator is a strategy game allowing the player to run a simulation of a nuclear war. It was developed by Bit Mirror and published by Matrix Games.
Mechanics
The game takes place in the present day. Nuclear War Simulator faithfully reproduces the current state of nuclear armanents and the systems managing them in all actual nuclear-armed countries. Players can not only see how a nuclear war between USA and Russia would play out, but also simulate smaller conflicts, such as between India and Pakistan.
The game emphasizes the impact such a conflict would have on the population (even up to singular individuals) by simulating the effects of nuclear blasts, the fires and radiation they would cause, and even nuclear winter in event of a sufficiently major war.
Nuclear War Simulator offers over 22 pre-made scenarios which can be freely modified. There's also a sandbox mode, letting us freely design conflicts and armanents systems used in them. The game supports mods as well.
Game modes
The game can only be played in singleplayer.
Technical aspects
The visuals of Nuclear War Simulator are simple, but nevertheless convincing at creating an atmosphere of a modern conflict tracked from the inside of a command center.
