The Beam Software developers have developed an original idea and introduced some innovations, mainly related to the skills of the characters. And so, thanks to the cybernetic parts from the damaged robot, Eric got rocket boots, allowing him to jump higher, the Baleog mechanical arm, which will kill enemies at a distance and overcome obstacles, while Olaf can shrink and thus enter chambers inaccessible to others. As if that wasn't enough, there will be two premiere characters through 31 stages of the game, which we can also manage: Fang werewolf and Scorch dragon. Greater diversity among the characters allowed us to complicate the boards on which we will have to fight intellectual battles. Because you have to remember that despite its arcade character, the game also has elements characteristic for adventure games, manifested by collecting items and using them in the right place. The level of difficulty increases gradually during the game and, as in the original, the initial stages mainly serve to familiarize oneself with the skills of the heroes. The knowledge acquired in this way should then be used successively.
From the graphic side, the program presents itself not so badly, although in comparison to the original, we can not speak of a revolution in this respect. As Norse by Norse West was only released on CD, according to the spirit of the times, he was given animated interludes and spoken dialogues. As for logical skill, this is really a lot. Game designed only for enthusiasts of the original The Lost Vikings. Others may be severely disappointed by the high level of difficulty and quality of workmanship, oscillating in the upper zones of the medium states. Although in this type of productions intellectual value is the most important and Norse by Norse West undoubtedly has it, the program has been lost in the pomorosa of history. If it had been released a few years earlier, we could have talked about a successful continuation, and so, in comparison to other, definitely more revolutionary productions, it passed without much echo.
