A sequel of a well received platforming game from 2014, focused on the Inuit culture. Never Alone 2 is a 3D adventure game, featuring Nuna and her spirit fox companion as the protagonists. They explore Alaska to solve the mystery. The game can be played alone or in coop.
Never Alone 2 is the second installment of the series launched in 2014, which tells the story of the Inuits - the indigenous inhabitants of Alaska - and their culture. Unlike the original, which was a platform game with elements of a puzzle game, this time it's a three-dimensional adventure game.
The E-Line Media team is behind the project, which co-created the first part of the series and also delivered the Beyond Blue game. As was the case with the original, the production was supervised by members of modern Inuit tribes, acting as consultants.
Plot
The main character of Never Alone 2 is Nuna, a young girl from the Inupiaq tribe. The protagonist traverses the ice-bound Alaska along with her spiritual companion - a white fox. Our heroes must uncover a great mystery that threatens the existence of their entire community.
Mechanics
The adventure in Never Alone 2 takes us through various locations - from picturesque, forest valleys to the frozen tundra. While exploring them, we solve various puzzles, and also get to know the inhabitants of the land, led by creatures from Inuit beliefs and legends.
During the game we can take control of both Nuna and the fox. Our heroes have different abilities that are useful in various situations.
Game modes
Similar to the first installment of the series, Never Alone 2 can be played alone or in a cooperative multiplayer mode. We can play with the second player over the Internet or locally.
Technical aspects
The graphic design of Never Alone 2 was maintained in the cartoon style known from the original.
