A 2D match-3 logic puzzle game by the Japanese indie studio F K Digital, known from the classic fighting game Chaos Code. In NekoBuro – Cats Block you have to match various blocks by their colors. If you match three of them horizontally or vertically, they disappear and you earn points. By clearing the blocks you fill a special meter, which, when full, gives you a useful bonus item, such as a bomb or a rainbow block that clears the whole board.
NekoBuro - Cats Block is a two-dimensional puzzle game of the genre "combine three elements". The game is created by an independent Japanese development studio F K Digital. The band is known in the West for their work on the classic Chaos Code fight, which was released on PlayStation 3. Apart from that, the creators have also created numerous other smaller projects, most of which have not left the borders of the Land of the Cherry Blossom.
The plot of the game was presented in the form of short interludes, using the visual novel formula. The story begins when a group of cubic electromagnetic waves of cats from a foreign planet is trapped on Earth as a result of an exceptionally strong solar storm. One of the strangers is taken in by a girl named Rino, who mistakenly thinks that she is dealing with a new breed of domestic cat.
The fun model does not differ from what we can find in similar productions of the genre. Blocks/cats in six different colours fall on the playing field separated by a grid, which we have to combine according to their colours. If we connect at least three cats vertically or horizontally, they disappear and we get an adequate number of points. Cleaning the line fills up with a special indicator, which, when the maximum level is reached, gives us a helpful object, such as a bomb or a rainbow block emptying the whole board. The creators prepared a total of more than 50 levels.
Cartoon graphic design NekoBuro - Cats Block is extremely pleasant to the eye. The title also has an original Japanese dubbing.
