The seventh part of the series of motocross racing games under the license of the FIM. MXGP 2021 gives us an extensive career, multiplayer mode, as well as a track editor offering a wide range of possibilities.
MXGP 2021 is the seventh installment of the series of racing games dedicated to motocross, started in 2014. It was developed by the Italian studio Milestone, which takes care of the series and has in its portfolio, among others, such projects as Gravel, four installments of the WRC series or also dedicated to motorcycles RIDE.
Mechanics
MXGP 2021 has an official license from the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), so the game features riders and tracks known from the real motocross season of 2021. In addition to the latter, there are four old and iconic tracks, namely the Italian Ottobiano, French Ernée, Portuguese Agueda and Mexican Leon.
During the game we take part in spectacular races. Despite the fact that the driving model is arcade, in order to win we have to demonstrate some skills to balance the player's body while entering turns, overcoming terrain obstacles and making jumps, as well as a good knowledge of the tracks.
The game allows us to create our own rider and freely modify the appearance and improve the performance of our bike. In addition, there is an extensive editor that allows us to create our own tracks.
Game modes
In MXGP 2021, a new career mode awaits to be tested, in which we gradually climb the rungs of motorcycle fame. In addition to solo play, the game offers multiplayer gameplay.
Technical aspects
Graphics in MXGP 2021 presents a good quality. Particularly detailed models of motorcycles and realistic animations of riders make a good impression.
