RIDE 4

RIDE 4 is a new version of the cycle of racing games in which we sit behind the helm of a motorcycle. The game offers even more realistic vehicles and a number of improvements over the previous part - both in gameplay and graphic design. Milestone studio is responsible for the development of this game - authors of previous parts of the series, as well as MXGP 2019 and MotoGP 19.

Mechanics

RIDE 4 is a racing game where we ride motorcycles. In this game we can observe the action from the first (FPP) or third person perspective (TPP) - the choice belongs to the player. In this game, we can race by riding several hundred models of motorcycles known from the real world (thanks to appropriate licenses), and for the first time in the history of this cycle we have here also Yamaha motorbikes.

The game of the Milestone studio allows you to race on several dozen routes. The game is realistic - it offers day and night cycle and dynamic weather system. The road conditions and lighting conditions affect the ease of driving motorcycles, and the driving model requires a lot of attention and skill from the player. We also have Pit Stops, where we manage tires and fuel.

It is worth noting that motorcycles can also be modified - a special system allowing for the replacement of parts is responsible for this. The player can also decide on the colour scheme (this also applies to the driver's outfit).

Artificial Intelligence is the responsibility of an advanced proprietary algorithm called A.N.N.A., which uses a neural network to increase the level of the challenge.

Game modes

We can play RIDE 4 alone or with others. The game offers a completely new campaign mode, in which we race on tracks all over the world (we choose where we start). We can also try the new Endurance Mode, which is a challenge even for the most experienced virtual motorcyclists (we race a new category of motorcycles in it and we must carefully plan our strategy for a given race).

There is also an online multiplayer mode - it is worth noting that the developers took care of the appropriate infrastructure (i.e. dedicated servers) to provide players with the best possible experience.

Technical aspects

RIDE 4 is characterized by very nice, three-dimensional graphics. When preparing the graphics, the developers focused on realism - the vehicle models were prepared on the basis of original designs made in AutoCAD program and three-dimensional scans. In turn, tracks were built using laser scans made by drones. The result is exceptional detail and reality accuracy.
