A mobile endless runner game by Cherrypick Games. The gameplay in Must Deliver is based on a well-tried system. You play as your chosen character and avoid zombie hordes that attack you to get to the safe zone in once piece. The levels differ in terms of the numbers and kinds of zombies, as well as landscapes, from cities to frozen tundra.
Must Deliver, released on AND and iOS, is a simple endless runner game, in which the player's task is to run as far as possible and avoid the zombies. The game was developed by Cherry Pick Games.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Must Deliver is based on an uncomplicated, proven scheme - by controlling the selected hero, we move between the zombies attacking us and try to reach the next safe zone. We can move in any direction, but we have to take into account the position of our opponents - if they catch us, you have to start the game from the beginning. The levels are always constructed in the same way, the placement of the undead is also very similar meaning that the next levels can be learned "by heart". Each stage differs in appearance as well as the number and type of zombies. While playing, we come across both urban roads and icy tundra.
The power-ups are always randomized on each level. If we collect three of them, we can use a special ability. Depending on which hero we control, the special move has slightly different rules. For example, after activation, the postman runs several meters in front of him, cutting through all the undead standing in his way, while the "destroyer" starts spinning, paving his way with bare fists. Once used, the skill has to be recharged.
Each time we reach a new stage, we get cash, which can be spent later on new heroes or on improving our skills. The game is based on a free-to-play model meaning that you will have to watch occasional commercials.
Technical aspects
Besides dynamic gameplay, Must Deliver also offers nice audio-visuals. Maintained in a retro atmosphere, the graphics have its own unique, pixel-like charm, the soundtrack is decent. The whole gameplay is viewed from above, without the possibility of changing the view.
