Motorsport Manager Mobile 2 is a continuation of a well-received managerial strategy game, in which a player leads a racing team on their way to success. One begins the career from minor competitions featured by the European Raring Series and head for the World Motorsport Championship – an equivalent of Formula 1. Like its predecessor, the game described herein is available on AND and iOS and has been developed by Playsport Games.

Mechanics

The gameplay of Motorsport Manager Mobile 2 revolves around managing a team. During the game, one not only hires the drivers (each driver features six separate parameters representing his behavior on the track) but also technicians responsible for developing new technologies and maintaining the optimal settings of the vehicles. A player can also design certain elements of the bolide themselves – one can decide on the appearance and installed components (this regards the tires, breaks, elements of the body that affect the aerodynamics, and engine parts). What is worth mentioning, the quality of the selected parts depends on the level of specialization of all the engineers working for the player, as well as the amount of the in-game currency one is willing to spend at the virtual store.

As the economic system implemented into the game forces a player to balance his costs and earnings, as well as to sign lucrative contracts with various sponsors, it is crucial to expand one’s headquarters – its particular departments are responsible for given aspects of the whole enterprise, such as finance, engineering, and cooperation with the drivers. Interestingly enough, the changing situation within the racing world requires a player to think on his feet and adjust to the occurring needs – while some drivers can improve their skills and become a larger challenge for our contestants, others might lose their abilities developed throughout years. Sometimes, even an entire team might fail, however, they are quickly replaced by new racing teams, members of which climb the ladder of motorsport career with each season.

Before each race, a player has to select the right driving strategy, pit-stop settings, and also think on his feet e.g. in a situation of sudden change of the conditions on the track. The player can base his decisions on the information he receives during the race.
